 Standish Steel has been in operation since 1978. Standish Steel designs and manufactures stone cutting saws and associated equipment for the limestone industry. Before building stone saws that started the modernization of the limestone industry in the Bedford Limestone Belt, Standish Steel designed and built heavy-duty overhead electric traveling bridge cranes, and special machines for use in the automotive transit bus and elevator manufacturing industries. Using the knowledge and techniques of these industries, Standish Steel developed stone saws which utilize the W.F. Meyers Company, Inc. diamond belts to their full potential. Standish Steel's stone saws are now in operation all over the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Products
Customers have relied on Standish Steel's high-quality products for many years. Some of Standish Steel's products include narrow belt saws, quarry saws, multi-blade saws, stone block turners, and turntables. Our narrow belt saws were recently used by us in our research and development plant to slab all the limestone for the new Yankee Stadium in New York City.
